A well-designed solar system starts with understanding the site and how electricity is actually being used.
For homes, we consider consumption, roof space, orientation, shading, tariffs, daytime use, switchboard capacity and future battery or EV charging needs. For commercial projects, the assessment can extend to interval data, operating hours, load profiles, maximum demand and existing electrical infrastructure.
This allows us to design around the property—not simply fill available roof space.

The largest system that fits on a roof is not automatically the right system.
Braintric considers annual consumption, daytime and evening use, roof area, orientation, shading, inverter capacity, network export requirements, switchboard capacity, future battery storage, EV charging and expected load growth.
The panel-array capacity and inverter AC capacity do not always need to be identical. In an appropriate design, a larger panel array can help produce useful energy across more hours of the day while remaining within the inverter and network design limits.
System architecture
Modern inverter selection affects much more than converting DC solar electricity into AC electricity.
Depending on the system, it can manage production, grid interaction, export control, consumption monitoring, faults, battery charging and discharging, EV integration and future smart-energy functions.
We select the inverter around what the system needs to do today—and what the customer may want it to do next.

Customers do not necessarily need to install storage immediately, but future requirements are easier to accommodate when considered early.

Grid electricity can cost significantly more than retailers pay for exported solar. Braintric therefore considers how much generation can be used onsite. Battery storage, EV charging and energy management may increase self-consumption further.
Grid connection
Solar design can also be affected by the local electricity network.
Depending on the property, phase configuration, inverter capacity and local DNSP requirements, conditions may affect connection or export. Braintric considers the relevant Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy requirements and manages applicable grid-connection applications.

Monitoring turns solar from a system you simply own into a system you can understand.
Depending on the equipment and metering configuration, customers may be able to view solar generation, property consumption, grid imports and exports, battery state of charge, system status, alarms and faults.
