For homes, we consider consumption, roof space, orientation, shading, tariffs, daytime use, switchboard capacity and future battery or EV charging needs. For commercial projects, the assessment can extend to interval data, operating hours, load profiles, maximum demand and existing electrical infrastructure.

This allows us to design around the property—not simply fill available roof space.

How Much Solar Do You Actually Need?

The largest system that fits on a roof is not automatically the right system.

Braintric considers annual consumption, daytime and evening use, roof area, orientation, shading, inverter capacity, network export requirements, switchboard capacity, future battery storage, EV charging and expected load growth.

The panel-array capacity and inverter AC capacity do not always need to be identical. In an appropriate design, a larger panel array can help produce useful energy across more hours of the day while remaining within the inverter and network design limits.

How much solar do I need?

Can I add a battery later?

What happens to excess solar electricity?

It may charge a compatible battery, support flexible loads such as EV charging, or export to the grid subject to the system and network settings.

Can network export limits affect my system?

How long do solar panels last?
