This Policy explains how Braintric Electrical and Automation Engineering Pty Ltd handles prices, GST, payment methods, deposits, progress payments, invoices, card transactions, payment security, surcharges, overdue accounts, refunds and payment disputes.
Legal entity: Braintric Electrical and Automation Engineering Pty Ltd (ABN 65 649 229 292). In this policy, “Braintric”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Braintric Electrical and Automation Engineering Pty Ltd.
Unless otherwise stated, all prices, quotations, invoices and payment amounts are in Australian dollars (AUD). Braintric is registered for GST. Consumer-facing prices include GST where required by law. Business quotations may show GST separately where clearly stated.
Depending on the transaction, prices may separately identify goods, labour, travel, freight, installation, call-out charges, authority fees, specialist equipment, reimbursable expenses and approved variations. Mandatory charges that can reasonably be calculated before a consumer commits will be disclosed in advance.
Available payment methods will be shown at checkout, on the quotation or invoice, or otherwise communicated by Braintric. Customers should pay only using details provided through an authorised Braintric communication or payment interface.
Because invoice-redirection fraud can occur, independently verify any unexpected request to change our bank account or payment instructions before transferring funds. Braintric will not ask for passwords, online banking credentials or card security codes by ordinary email.
Where card payment is offered through a payment gateway or payment service provider, card information may be processed directly by that provider under its own security controls. Customers should not send complete card numbers or card security codes through ordinary email.
Braintric will comply with applicable Australian surcharge rules and the merchant or card-network rules that apply to the payment method at the time of payment. Where a surcharge is permitted and applied, it will not exceed the amount permitted by law or applicable merchant requirements and will be disclosed as required before payment.
Card-network no-surcharge rules for Visa, Mastercard, American Express and eftpos prepaid, debit and credit card payments are scheduled to commence from 1 October 2026. Braintric will update its payment practices to comply with the rules applicable to its merchant facility.
A quotation or contract may require a deposit, milestone payment, progress payment or balance payment. The amount and timing will be stated in the applicable document. Braintric will not require a deposit or payment that exceeds a mandatory legal limit.
For residential building work regulated by the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW), Braintric will comply with applicable statutory requirements concerning deposits, written contracts, progress payments and Home Building Compensation cover. The maximum deposit under NSW home building law is currently 10% of the contract price.
Invoices are payable by the due date stated on the invoice or applicable contract. If a genuine invoice error is identified, contact Braintric promptly so it can be investigated. Undisputed portions of an invoice remain payable where the contract and law require.
Where an amount remains overdue, Braintric may issue reminders, suspend non-essential future work where permitted, or take reasonable recovery action consistent with the contract and law. Any interest, administration fee or recovery cost will only be charged where it is contractually and legally recoverable.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact Braintric promptly so we can investigate. A card chargeback or payment dispute does not alter the underlying contractual rights of either party. Fraudulent or knowingly false disputes may be addressed through the payment provider and lawful recovery processes.
Approved refunds will be processed in accordance with the Returns and Refunds Policy, applicable contract and law. We will generally return funds using the original payment method where practical.
This policy is intended for publication on the Braintric website. It should be read together with any project-specific quotation, service agreement or other terms that expressly apply to a particular transaction.
Unless otherwise stated, Braintric prices, quotations and invoices are in Australian dollars (AUD).
Braintric is registered for GST. Consumer-facing prices include GST where required by law, while business quotations may identify GST separately where clearly stated.
Yes. Braintric may require a deposit before ordering equipment, reserving project resources or commencing work. The amount and due date will be stated in the applicable quotation, invoice or payment request.
No. Payment of a deposit does not automatically make the entire amount non-refundable. Its treatment depends on the contract, costs already incurred, work completed and applicable law.
Contact Braintric promptly, identify the invoice and disputed amount, explain the reason and provide relevant supporting information. Undisputed amounts generally remain payable by their due date.
Until 30 September 2026, any surcharge must comply with current Australian rules and must not exceed the permitted cost of acceptance. From 1 October 2026, Braintric will comply with applicable no-surcharge rules introduced by relevant card networks.
Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method where reasonably practicable. External banks or payment providers may take additional time to credit the funds after Braintric initiates the refund.
Treat unexpected bank-detail changes cautiously. Independently verify the new details using a trusted Braintric contact method before transferring funds, because invoice-redirection fraud can occur.
Share the essentials and Braintric can focus the first conversation on the site, its energy use and the result you need.
